The Zillow Experimentation Platform (ZEXP) empowers Product, Engineering, and Science teams to test bold ideas and accelerate innovation via self-service, scientifically rigorous experimentation. As part of Core Data Tech, the team plays a central role in Zillow’s Housing Super App strategy by scaling experimentation and guiding evidence-based decision-making.
What Will You Do?
As Principal Data Scientist, you will evaluate Zillow’s current experimentation practices and pinpoint areas for growth in experiment quality and reliability. You will design and scale statistically robust methodologies—frequentist and Bayesian—for experiment design and analysis. You will build self-service tools, guardrails, and infrastructure in collaboration with engineers and product teams across online and offline ML platforms. Additionally, you’ll shape the ZEXP roadmap through scientific thought leadership, mentoring colleagues, and representing Zillow’s contributions externally.
