Senior Data Scientist – Experimentation Platform

Website Skyscanner

Why Here?
Skyscanner stands as a global leader in travel technology, serving millions of users daily with innovative tools and insights. With over two decades in the industry, the company continues to disrupt and redefine travel experiences. The Experimentation team is central to this mission, developing and evolving the internal experimentation platform that enables data-informed decision-making across the organization.

What Will You Do?
As a Senior Data Scientist at Skyscanner, you will collaborate with engineers and product managers to develop and enhance the internal experimentation platform used company-wide. You will design and implement advanced statistical methods, particularly Bayesian approaches and causal inference models, to support complex experimentation needs. Additionally, you will advocate for best practices in experimentation and causal inference, mentoring others and contributing to a culture of data-informed decision-making.

Diversity statement
You’ll join a brilliantly diverse group from all corners of the world. After all, travel is about finding new perspectives and experiencing new people and cultures – and Skyscanner is strongest when our teams are both inclusive and diverse. We recognise and challenge everyday biases, remove obstacles to inclusion and ensure all our people can thrive and be themselves.

Skyscanner is an equal opportunities employer, and all qualified applicants will be considered for employment without discrimination based on protected characteristics such as age, ethnicity, race, religion or belief, political views, sexual orientation, sex, gender (whether identity, reassignment, or expression), pregnancy or maternity, marital status, disability or any other category protected by law.

Skyscanner is a hybrid working company and most roles can be either Full Time or Part Time. We believe when people meet regularly in person, we are better able to innovate, learn, collaborate and inspire. We ask people to be in the office on average 8 days per month.

Already a global leader in travel, we want to elevate the way we work to a whole other level. In return, you’ll get meaningful things like medical insurance, headspace subscriptions, a home office allowance and the option to buy more holiday. You’ll have the opportunity to work from any country for 4 weeks a year, and 30 days in our other global offices. Everything, in other words, to help you relax and give your best.
