We are seeking an experienced Sr. Optimization Manager, who is passionate, customer focused and collaborates well across engineering and business organizations. This role will be responsible for setting and aligning on the best practices and standards for Experimentation and Personalization across Microsoft. Responsibilities
- Maximize value and use cases for Experimentation and Personalization technologies (includes 1st and 3rd party tools) for Microsoft websites.
- Develops experimentation and personalization platform standards, best practices, and processes.
- Provides consulting to Product Marketing Groups on the use and maintenance of Experimentation and Personalization technologies (including the Adobe Target Platform).
- Owns business requirement prioritization and standardization for Experimentation and Personalization tooling.
- Expands product knowledge and shares expertise through training organizations on Experimentation and Personalization practices.
- Build a community of marketers leveraging Experimentation and Personalization technology to extend impact and scenarios delivered on platform.
- Identifies high impact optimization and personalization case studies that advance community knowledge.
Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Finance, Engineering, or related field AND 5+ years experimentation, personalization, marketing operations, program management, project management, or related experience

- OR equivalent experience.
- Ability to communicate findings and/or complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proactive communicator who thrives delivering results through inclusive, cross-group partnerships.
- A proven track record of prioritizing and delivering projects in an ambiguous and changing environment.
- Curious and eager to learn new technical and non-technical domains.
Preferred experience and skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Finance, Engineering, or related field AND 8+ years marketing operations, program management, project management, or related experience
- OR Master’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Finance, Engineering, or related field AND 5+ years marketing operations, program management, project management, or related experience
- OR equivalent experience.
- 3+ years technology/process improvement experience.
- Proficient using marketing technology tools, including Azure Personalizer, Adobe Target, Adobe Audience Manager, and Adobe Analytics.
- Experience building communities of interest that bring together experts to share and learn.
- Excellent written and presentation communications skills. Able to build stories that compel action.
- Generates energy across teams for ideas and opportunities that drive impact.
- Solid relationship and communication skills for working with and influencing senior managers and Microsoft-wide groups.
- Proven sense of high accountability and self-drive to take on and see-through big opportunities. Must be self-started, organized and detail oriented.
- Proven track record of delivering results and earning trust in a matrix environment.
